Privacy policy

In short: your scans, floor plans and photos stay on your iPhone. Walkline has no account and no advertising, and it doesn't track you. A few optional features need our server. Before any of them uploads anything, Walkline shows you what will be sent and why, and nothing is sent unless you choose it.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you create: buildings, floors, rooms, measurements, floor plans, 3D models, photos, 360° views, voice notes and camera plans. They are stored only on your device and in your device backups. Deleting the app deletes them, so export anything you want to keep.

Optional features that use our server

These features are off until you use them. Each one shows a warning before the first upload, and again for each new building, and waits for you to tap Upload. If you choose Not now, nothing leaves your phone and the rest of the app works the same.

Faces, licence plates, screens and paperwork are blurred on your iPhone before any photo is uploaded. Uploads are encrypted in transit and processed only on servers we run ourselves. Uploads aren't linked to you: there is no account, only a random job number.

What we never do

No advertising, no tracking, no selling or sharing your data.
No training of AI models on your photos or scans.
No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.

Features that run on your iPhone

Room naming, furniture detection, photo blurring, photo enhancement, transcribing voice notes and suggested listing text run on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Nothing is sent to us or to Apple for these.

Permissions

Camera (needed): to scan with the camera and LiDAR scanner. Location (optional, outside scans only): to place the building on the map. Microphone (optional): only when you record a voice note. You can change any of these in the iPhone's Settings.

Your choices

Every optional feature has a switch in the app's Settings ▸ Privacy, where you can also delete anything you have uploaded with Delete my uploaded data now. You can also write to [email protected] and we will delete it for you.

Children

Walkline isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and say what changed in the app's "What's new".
